About KnightSlots Casino
Our Story and Mission
KnightSlots Casino was founded in 2022 by a group of veteran iGaming professionals who shared a single conviction: online casino reviews should be written by people who actually understand how the industry works. From our editorial office at 71-75 Shelton Street in central London, we have built a publication that puts player protection, transparency and operational truth ahead of marketing spin. Our remit is straightforward — review every operator we cover with the same scrutiny a regulator would apply, and publish what we find without fear or favour.
The brand takes its name from the medieval knights of the Order of the Garter, founded just a few hundred metres from our offices. The symbolism is deliberate. A knight is bound by a code, accountable to peers, and judged by the people they protect. We hold our editorial team to the same standard.
Editorial Standards
Every review on KnightSlots follows a 47-point evaluation framework that covers licensing, RNG certification, payout speed, complaint volume, dispute outcomes, terms-and-conditions fairness, KYC handling and responsible-gambling tooling. Reviewers must complete a real-money test deposit, play a minimum of 50 spins or 30 hands across at least three game categories, and submit a withdrawal before publishing a verdict. Operators are not given pre-publication review, and we never accept payment to alter a rating. Our scoring model is published in full so readers can replicate any conclusion we draw.
When an operator changes its terms, licence status or ownership, the relevant review is re-tested within 30 days. Every page carries a "last reviewed" timestamp, and the editorial changelog is preserved in our internal system for at least seven years.
Team Background
Our senior editorial staff bring more than 20 combined years of iGaming experience. The team includes former compliance analysts from UK Gambling Commission-licensed operators, ex-product managers from tier-one game studios, and journalists previously published in iGaming Business and EGR Global. Our lead editor, William Hayes, has spent over a decade evaluating online casinos across the UK, Maltese and Curacao markets, and personally signs off on every brand-level rating change.
Outside the editorial desk we work with two contracted technical reviewers — both Certified Information Systems Auditors — who examine SSL configuration, payment-page integrity and third-party RNG audit certificates before any new operator enters our database.
Why You Can Trust Us
Trust in this industry has to be earned monthly, not claimed once. We hold affiliations with the International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA) and the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA), both of which require members to operate under documented codes of conduct. We are also signatories to the GamCare Player Protection Pledge and run quarterly bias audits on our content using an external review panel.
If a player contacts us with a documented complaint about an operator we recommend, we publish the dispute, escalate it through our regulator contacts, and update or remove the recommendation if the operator fails to engage in good faith. Several operators have been delisted using this process since 2022.
Industry Experience
Our team attends ICE London, SBC Summit Barcelona and iGB Live every year, contributing to industry panels on responsible-gambling tooling, affiliate transparency and post-Gambling Act reform. Members of our editorial board have advised on three player-protection white papers and have been quoted in The Times, The Guardian and Reuters on UK gambling policy. We do not take this access for granted — it is the foundation of the depth and accuracy that keeps our readers coming back.
